You and me and the Devil makes 3

You won't believe this! I was in the Loft in Umeda today and they had an entire display devoted to the films of the surreallist Czech animator Jan Svankmajer. I know, it's amazing! You can't purchase these movies in North America unless you get used copy off ebay or something. Svankmajer's film "Faust"(1994) is one of my all-time favourite movies. I love the original Faust story anyhow- it's the prototype for so many other great stories. For those not in the know, Faustus was an alchemist searching for the philosopher's stone. He summoned up the demon Mephistopheles (I believe) and sold him his soul in exchange for knowledge. As you can imagine, all sorts of crazy infernal hijinks ensued. Anyways, if you wanna check it out, you only need to ask :)
